"Our belief is that quality of operation can be maintained
by the combination of religious and lay persons
committed to the goals of a Christian Community.
In providing compassionate care, Carmelite Sisters
and all those persons complementing our ministry
are accountable to strive for excellence in performance
and adherence to the highest ethical, professional
and regulatory standards."
- Carmelite Philosophy of Care
"I know how much I truly
loved my job when in December I was offered another
job at nearly twice my hourly pay! To me love
and laughter are the best medicine. At St. Pat's
I not only get to give that to our residents,
staff, my co-workers and the sisters I receive
it back. I have a lot of fun working here. The
most important part of my life is loving God and
being loved by God. Being at St. Pat's has given
me total freedom to express and share that love.
The other day I told a resident I loved her, her
response was "I'm so glad you told me that,
I didn't think anyone did" I feel privileged
to be a part of God's plan to let those at St.
Pat's know how much they are valued and loved
by God and all of us here. My philosophy in life
is to love God first and to treat others the way
I want to be treated with love, respect and dignity.
Today I serve, in time I may be the one who needs
to hear these words expressed with a hug "God
loves you and so do I". The most joyful rewarding
hours of my day are those spent in the residents'
main dining room at St. Pat's!"
- Sincerely, Sharleen Peters,
Dietary Assistant.
